I’m nearing a point in life where I can almost begin to consider purchasing a real home on my own plot of land. I look forward to these days, where I can tear up and repurpose the yard as I please. But until then, I’m making the best of borrowing someone else’s property.
Container gardens
Rather than tearing up the yard to insert food plots, instead I built a couple small raised bed gardens to experiment with growing food. After all, it’s probably best not to overwhelm myself so soon in my gardening journey.
If you have no yard, this can look like a planter on a balcony or a windowsill.
Growing food indoors
Plenty of herbs will grow just fine indoors, provided they have adequate space and healthy soil. Try a kitchen garden or a decorative green wall.
Vertical gardening
Speaking of green walls, when space is limited, grow upward! Whether this is indoors or on an outdoor fence, growing upwards is an effective way to produce abundance without a lot of space.
Vertical gardening can look like a tomato plant growing up a chain link fence, or this can looks like an assortment of potting arrangements against an interior or exterior wall.
