August is a transition season
August is when we’re beginning to think about fall gardening, and many fall crops can be planted in August. The trick is to harvest the summer crops in time to clean out and make space for fall planting. A good cleaning will do your crops well too — thorough weeding and making sure not to plant the same families of plants in the same place as last season.
